TANZANIA PROJECT

The diocese of Njombe has purchased a 150-acre plot of land to build a school and other buildings for educational activities.

These photos show the construction of an elementary school called Mdzombe located 10 km from the diocese. The school accommodates 144 children, who are required to eat outdoors while waiting for the multipurpose room to be completed.The cost of constructing the room is around EUR 30,000 and the diocese currently lacks sufficient funds to complete the work.These projects are supervised by Bishop Maluma Alfred together with Father Bruno Henjewele of the diocese of Njombe in Tanzania. ‘Multi-purpose hall’ September 2024 update.

In the two photos, you can see the work on the flooring and on the video you can see the award ceremony of 55 students entering the secondary school, this is the first time the hall has been used with the parents and relatives of the children present.

Unfortunately, the hall is not finished and donations are still needed to make the windows and doors.
